Frank A Guba is an internationally known artist in the world of art glass. The offices of Nancy Phillips Associates houses Nancy Phillips' personal collection of some of his greatest works.

As a child Frank Guba learned a love of nature from his parents and taught himself to translate his observations into beautiful drawings.

At the age of seventeen he took his first position as a decorator of china in New York. In 1891 he moved to New Bedford, MA where he began 45 years of service, becoming the premier decorator and highest paid artist for the Pairpoint Company.

As an ardent naturalist, Frank Guba depicted his favorite subject in a wide array of artistic works and mediums from drawings in pen, ink and pencil to magnificent paintings in watercolor as well as oil.

He raised six sons and one of them, Frank A. Guba II, was the beloved grandfather of Nancy Phillips. His works can be found today in the New Bedford Whaling Museum in New Bedford, MA and in private collections world wide.
