At the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Community Awards Dinner, auto-industry leader and child welfare advocate Nancy Phillips was named “Citizen of the Year.” Business and community leaders gathered to celebrate the contributions and impact that Nancy Phillips has made in the Exeter area over the past year.
Personal friend Sheree Kaplan presented Phillips with the award, citing her prolific work in improving the welfare of New Hampshire’s children. Last year, she produced an “on the ground” account of homeless youth in Manchester. In addition, she has served as a board member for Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. She is the founder of Cars For Causes NH and serves on the Governor’s Committee for Oversight of Children’s Issues in New Hampshire.
