Today, more than 30 years later, Nancy Phillips Associates facilitates the sale of dealerships throughout the U.S. from our stunning office in the historic district of downtown Exeter, New Hampshire. Averaging a dealership transaction nearly every month and dozens of dealership evaluations annually, Nancy Phillips Associates holds an esteemed position among the team’s industry peers. In addition to representing both Sellers and Buyers, Nancy Phillips is widely published in automotive trade magazines and newsletters.

Nancy Phillips Associates holds real estate licenses throughout the New England states, is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the International Association of Professional Negotiators and is a member of the Auto Dealers Association in every New England state and New York, as well as the Women’s Automotive Association International.
Our philosophy at NPA is based on integrity and discretion, whether serving clients by comprehensively evaluating their dealership’s true market value or representing their interests by orchestrating dealership sales, mergers, or acquisitions.
Nancy Phillips is founder and principal of Nancy Phillips Associates, Inc. With over 30 years experience appraising and marketing auto dealerships, Nancy is uniquely qualified to confidentially advise dealership principals on identifying their present and future goals and the best options for achieving them. Nancy’s career includes a wealth of integrated automotive industry experience, including roles as General Manager for a large New York dealership and owner/operator of a New Hampshire dealership. Nancy obtained business valuation credentials from the University of New Hampshire, studied Sociology at the University of New Hampshire and earned a Marketing Certificate from the University of British Columbia in Canada.
Carrie Phillips Forbes
VP of Dealer Services
As VP of Dealer Services, Carrie works with Nancy on all transactions and expansion of NPA services throughout New England. Carrie began her career at NPA as an intern in 2002, and upon graduation from the University of New Hampshire she transitioned to a full-time role as Client Liaison and Business Development Manager. In 2005 Carrie founded a real estate title company and served as Managing Partner for several years before pursuing her passion for health and wellness by creating and launching a successful brand of protein bars. Throughout her career, Carrie has served NPA as a marketing consultant, leading up to her current role as VP of Dealer Services.
Nancy’s partner since the beginning, Elliott Berkowitz is both our financial manager and in house real estate expert in charge of coordinating appraisal, environmental and other resources for assessment of Dealership and mixed use properties. His business acumen has allowed the firm to expand into other areas of real estate investment including significant historical redevelopment of buildings in this geographical area.
With over 30 years as an automotive financial analyst and legal assistant, your dealership evaluation and transaction details are consistently managed with the highest level of industry acumen.
As Transaction Manager at NPA, Terry facilitates all listing engagements and seamlessly coordinates the documentation, follow-up and scheduling of all dealership transactions. She oversees the dealer application process and compiles and tracks the status of all closing documents while keeping each transaction on schedule. Terry honed her organizational expertise, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential matters from more than 45 years of experience in the banking and public accounting industries, in roles including Executive Assistant to Bank President to Client Liaison and Supervisor of Accounts for an accounting firm.
As Marketing Manager for NPA, Kristie coordinates the promotion of the firm’s services, achievements and events to our Dealership clients and auto industry professional associates. She also serves as liaison with local and regional media keeping them apprised of consummated auto dealership transactions and the many charitable initiatives the company has spearheaded. Kristie has more than 20 years of experience providing marketing strategy, communications and public relations support to various business sectors with a special focus on the automotive industry and non-profit organizations.
Bob Macdonald has been the legal expert in our team of automotive professionals for nearly 20 years. With a great many dealership sales and acquisitions handled jointly, we have the added ability to streamline the legal component of every dealership transaction - thereby insuring fewer obstacles and expediting the consummation of every sale.
Lynn has over 30 years of high level automotive financial experience first as a controller and then as the CFO of several Connecticut auto dealerships. Her astute comprehension of dealership financial data, expense control and forensic analysis is priceless when determining franchise value for our clients with unique financial issues and challenges.
