What should you do if you are concerned about the future of your dealership?

5 Questions you should ask yourself:
  1. Are you worried about how your dealership will perform based on current economic conditions?
  2. Do you question your ability to compete with ever growing dealership groups, digital marketing, lead generation technology and other high impact technology based marketing initiatives?
  3. Is your dealership located in a non primary market area?
  4. Does your dealership require a facility upgrade?
  5. Do you own a dealership with dualed brands or an alignment that is outside of your franchisor network plan?
  6.  Is your floor plan vulnerable at the whim of your lender in a market where there are few viable alternative finance sources?
  7. Is there any possibility that your dealership may loose more than your current cash- on- hand within the next 6 month period?  (Is it conceivable that your dealership may be in the position of losing a substantial amount in the next 6 months, thereby reducing your working capital requirement to under guide and placing you in a position of vulnerability with your franchisor?)
  8. Is the quality of your life and your overall health diminished by stress, burn out and fear?
  9. Do you have an exit strategy and if so do you have concerns over it’s reliability during a time when our industry is in flux and market conditions are difficult to rely upon ?
